Wealthy Affiliate Overview
If you’ve ever wished there was a training platform that allows you to learn online business from scratch, without having to take a gamble and pay a lot of money up front, and without being exposed to scam after scam, after wallet emptying scam, that platform is Wealthy Affiliate.
The ‘online business community’ is actually a lot more than a community. You can build websites and follow step-by-step training along the way. Once you’re started, you can continue your training to the next level and really start building your very own business.
Internet Marketing is the best way for people to make money online. It’s not a quick fix/get-rich-quick thing by any means, but a realistic way of building up an additional income stream.
The Good & The Bad
The Good:
- You can join for free. What better way to try out a program to see how it works than to pay nothing?
- Excellent training. You WILL learn how to build a business, and it won’t be false promises or fake products.
- Constantly improving. You can’t learn internet business from a book or a university or it would be out of date by the time you finished it. Wealthy Affiliate gets updated virtually every day.
- Tools & Support. Not only do you learn HOW to make money with an online business, you get the tools that are needed as well.
The Bad:
- It’s large. It can be a bit daunting when you first arrive and you spend a few days just trying to learn your way around (Kyle and Carson are working on dashboard improvements to fix this).
- It’s addictive. I owe everything I’ve got online to wealthy affiliate training, but sometimes I just spend too much time there socializing and reading new training. It’s a big time sink sometimes!
Who Is Wealthy Affiliate For?
It’s such a broad and thriving community that a lot of different people can benefit from it. Let me explain more below:
Beginners – If you know nothing about online business, Internet marketing, affiliate marketing, or anything related to making money online, you NEED Wealthy Affiliate. The training and step-by-step guides alone will get you started, but more importantly self promotion and spam is banned. You won’t fall prey to any more scams at WA.
Intermediates – If you’ve built a few sites before, or have even earned some money online, you can still get something out of WA. Once you’ve been inside a little while, you’ll easily notice that there is nothing else like it online, and the more advanced training will be able to take you to the next level in your own efforts. Besides, you get to network with so many others like you, that you can’t fail to benefit.
Advanced – There are some members within WA that are earning tens of thousands of dollars a month, some even more. These members love to keep up to date on the training and Internet community as a whole. What else is great? They provide their own training and insight too.
So it’s quite possible that you will become a Wealthy Affiliate member for life, which incidentally is how long your free starter membership lasts.
Tools & Training
You get the ability to build two free websites. These fully functioning sites are powered by WordPress, and a lot of the training (including some written by me) goes into great details at teaching you how to use them.
I’ve talked a bit about the training already, but I want to go into more details here. What exactly is it that makes the WA training so good?
Firstly, it is organized and structured so that you can easily follow along, complete tasks (and check them off as you go) and ask questions too. You’ll get answers very quickly.
Secondly, it is ever changing, and constantly being improved. I know, sounds too good to be true, but that’s just the nature of WA. Kyle loves adding new content (I saw him add three training videos alone yesterday) so there’s no possibility of you ever running out of things to learn.
Finally, the information itself is top, top, quality. The Internet is so full of misinformation, especially when it comes to online business. Things that worked a few years ago will get your website blacklisted today. Things that some people think work, just don’t work at all, and other things people don’t bother doing, are super Important.
Every single success I’ve had online comes from WA training, and if you join too, you’ll find that the same is true.
Wealthy Affiliate Support
After the training, support is the next most important part. It wouldn’t be possible to write a Wealthy Affiliate review without talking in great length about the support. What I’m going to do though, is just talk a little bit about the support to give you some context, then I’m going to show some examples of what I’m talking about.
When building your sites and your business in general, you’ll inevitably run into situations where you have questions, uncertainties, or just need an opinion. At WA you can write blog posts, create discussion or even join in live chat.
Don’t underestimate the power of this. The thing that causes most people to fail is inaction, indecision, or lack of guidance.

The starter membership is free and free for life. There is no hidden fee which will start charging your account after a certain period. You don’t even need to give anything but an email address to sign up.

My Final Opinion
On a personal level, I’ll always be grateful to Wealthy Affiliate for helping me finally get some success of my own. If you are somebody who often underachieves, doesn’t know how to get started, but desperately wants to, then WA is for you.
I know it’s not a perfect platform and you still need to work hard to reach success, but I’ve never seen anything like this before.
How does it compare with all the other products out there promising solutions for online success? Simple:
Other products and scams promise you can make money while you sleep, with some revolutionary automated system that is just trash.
Wealthy Affiliate just teaches you how to make money online the legitimate way, and the support and training helps you get there.
